How it's done, cont'd

If this had happened in Portland, we'd be talking about another dead guy today.

Or, had the gun been real, a dead police officer.

Well, it WAS in the Portland metro area. I assume you mean not in Portland city limits.

Are officers allowed by policy to deploy both a taser and a handgun at the same time.

I thought most prohibited that to avert any confusion.

had it been PPB, they'd have shot him while
he was easy prey still in the water, then it
be no question that he was shot. And as he
went under, they'd have unloaded their guns
to make sure he didn't float back up to be a
"hazard" to them! All they have to say is that
they were "afraid of him" and they'll be forgiven
for any infractions or wrongs!

This happened directly behind my office. I am curious what the KOIN camera crew was shooting when this incident occured. No one has been catching any fish yet, so that wasn't it. I for one, am glad they were able to catch this miscreant without killing him.

Anyone who has ever been to high rocks knows you can't swim upstream in that area... the current is way too strong.

Jumping in fully clothed and with shoes? He's lucky he made it out of the water.
