Have a great weekend

If only Saltzman would show up to city council meetings in red spandex jumpsuit, platforms, and giant pop bead necklace, just think how different things could be.

That's the best clip you've ever posted.

God rest Marc. His whole act just gets better with time.

Wow, those backup singers were a bit over the top. Sadly, I remember that song being done by Robert Palmer & Power Station instead...

Palmer always knew a great groove when he heard it. Sadly, he and Marc are doing that one together now.

I was just thinking all the fashions look very avant garde;
especially the platform shoes, which I seem to be seeing again in all the magazines.

Jack -- that's uncanny! I just watched that video about 8 hrs. ago. Hadn't seen it since the broadcast way back then. Wow, man. Wow. Nazzy.

Marc Bolan didn't seem to care much what anybody thought. I don't know if that was the reality, but that was how he came across.

The "built like a car" simile is eerie in light of Bolan's death at age 29:

Bolan died on 16 September 1977, two weeks before his 30th birthday. He was a passenger in a purple Mini 1275GT (registration FOX 661L) driven by Gloria Jones as they headed home from Mortons drinking club and restaurant in Berkeley Square. Jones lost control of the car and it struck a sycamore tree after failing to negotiate a small humpback bridge near Gipsy Lane on Queens Ride, Barnes, southwest London. Bolan died instantly, while Jones suffered a broken arm and broken jaw and spent time in hospital; she did not learn of Bolan's death until the day of his funeral. Neither were wearing a seat belt. Bolan's home, which was less than a mile away at 142 Upper Richmond Road West in East Sheen, was quickly looted. Fans quickly turned the site of the crash into a shrine and in 2007 the site was officially recognised as Bolan's Rock Shrine.

1. Damn that's some good tamborine playin'...those gals are great. Jack, can we get them at the Virtual Office Holiday Party this year?

2. How come only the left side of the crowd is standing?

Sound check? We don't need no stinkin' sound check!

Cheers for the Video :-) The lady in Red in this video is Gloria Jones. Bolan's mistress and mother to his son Rolan Bolan. For more info visit the English Tourist Board's web site:- www.England-Rocks.co.uk and

TAG (T-Rex Action Group) are guardians of Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine since 1999. We formed when the Tree was given "less than three years to live" due to rot and after the site was described as "more sh*thole than shrine"in a glossy magazine.
