Spink was indeed a one time dotcom millionaire. He was fortunate in starting a small company that sold for a few millions at the beginning of the dotcom days. After that, he tried to become a VC but gave all his money back and more. He is one of the most if not the most arrogant person I have ever met. I had the feeling that he thought he was smarter and better than everyone and could get away with doing whatever he wanted to do. But it was interesting to hear about his daredevil stunts back when he could afford them.
