Looted
We blogged a while back about hidden treasure we had discovered over on Portland's east side. Apparently, some of it wasn't hidden well enough.

That's awful!
The thieves will be trying to unload the stolen goods on Ebay, Craigslist, etc.
If the owner and friends keep their eyes on those sites, they are sure to see some of his stuff there and should be able to locate the scumbags that did this and, hopefully, get his goods back.

From the story, I believe the thieves have been identified. The location of most of the stolen stuff, however, has not been.

I'll bet that Maxine writes a follow up that's more interesting than the story of the theft.

Jack, I have a distinct feeling that most of this is still in the general vicinity. For some strange reason, considering that they were selling items to secondhand stores in the area, I doubt that they had the patience or the fortitude to go with online sales if they could find someone local who'd be willing to buy it from them.
When I lived in Portland, I was a regular at the Excalibur Comics on Hawthorne. All day long, nearly every day, you'd see scruffy individuals carrying boxes of suspicious merchandise, coming in to see if there might be anything that the store was interested in buying. Games, toys, books, and even vintage shoes. When they'd be told "no," they'd either head west toward Powell's, or they'd head back around SE 82nd and home.

Where are the police, shooting at unarmed suspects, when you really, really need them?

Meth zombies. They have no soul. They should be put out of their misery.

They caught one, Jesse Barlow, who goes on trial 29 March, per the updates - Might be a good trial to attend, to give moral support to Kidd. The other scumbag (I mean, 'alleged wrongdoer') Thomas Paul Blaser, 33 is still at large. Rot in Hell.
