Hey, Congress lives in its own insulated little world. They can create their own reality and the only real struggle they have is getting re-elected to stay there.
1. That is a fair, balanced sampling of opinion, I'm sure. Carefully analyzed, it appears that people in Harlem think he is just terrible. Or could be people at the Daily News think it is just terrible that a populist was writing tax law for the investor class. So they write this cheesy article in a billionaire's newspaper.
2. Some lowly aide probably sent out the tax leaflet, following the time-honored management rule to "do it the same way we did it last year."
3, And while younger people may not know, Rangel is a lot more useful than the man he replaced.
