Blazers rack up a nice road win
Against the infamous Kevin Durant & Co., no less. Will Portland survive the first round of the playoffs? Not surprisingly, there's just enough of a chance to keep Blazer fans wishing and hoping.

Nice win, but you have to remain skeptical about the post-season. They clearly can't match-up against either Denver or Utah. They might give the Lakers a little run, but no way they beat Kobe, et al. in a 7 game series. Dallas is a good match-up, but getting to that specific series requires a LOT of things to fall into place in the next 2.5 weeks. Great season in the face of major adversity, but I would suggest it will be a couple of home playoff games and it's over for this year. Unfortunately, the real exciting future may get derailed by the labor lock-out.

That's debatable. They're more talented now than they were "at full strength." Marcus Camby and Andre Miller are so much better than Joel Przybilla, Greg Oden, Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw, it isn't funny. Nate's lucky those guys are gone -- otherwise, he would be struggling.
Let Dre run the offense -- it's a lot better than whatever would be called off the bench.

You don't think Nate can match wits with Karl, Sloan or Jackson? Again, in any of those three scenarios, two words sum it up for the Blazers...1) "buh" and 2)"bye". Off the court, the Blazers sales staff better get those 2011 season tix sales optimized before the post-Pritch PR debacle starts to unfold.

The Blazers can handle with what's left of Karl these days. Sloan, maybe -- Col. Sanders, no.

With Camby and Batum now in the starting lineup, the Blazers match up with any team in the West--until they get to the bench. Rudy is inconsistent, Bayless has trouble running the offense and Martell has disappeared. The only steady hand off the bench in Juwan Howard. Where would we be without him?
I don't think the powers that be will let us beat the Lakers. Denver and Dallas? Possibly. I just hope we don't have to play Utah.
The Blazers have played pretty well on the road this year, but it's damn hard to win in the playoffs without home court advantage.
