It's so emblematic of Seattle's whole "don't rock the boat, don't get involved" ethos. None of the other people lifted a finger either. The plight of the starving third worlders on NPR/our pravda gets their white-man's burden/guilt/outrage up but when it comes to their own community they can't be bothered.

Its the same here with the Wackenhut security guys/gals. They are there to protect Trimet property. Thats it.

Not that I like the fact they just stood there but the way OR/WA work if they had lifted a finger they probably would of been fired.
