Speaking of sports

Durant is a big part of the future of the NBA. Watching him work his jump shot with Batum guarding him was mind-boggling.
Batum - a normally great defender - couldn't even get a hand up in Durant's face.
The release is so quick.
Oden still has a bright future ahead of him - unfortunately, it's in porno movies.

Tonight, Durant's dignity and legendary performance reminded me of Jimi Hendrix.
I don't recall ever seeing a release that quick on a guy that tall. Jack, do you recall Bernard King - the way he could just fill up the hoop?
Durant's going to be fun to watch. His game is electric.
I understand the decision to take Oden, but I'm no longer going to pretend it wasn't a mistake.

I think it might be time for another Rate-a-Nate; I was getting pretty impressed with the way the decimated team kept eking out wins there for a while . . . now not so much.

Kevin Durant had 33 points

What do you expect from the No. 1 draft pick?

33 points? So what . . . you saw those internet pictures of Oden. I'm sure the Blazers knew what was important when they were deciding who to select.

C'mon. Don't be so hard on the Blazers for drafting Oden. We all knew it was going to happen. It was destiny. Fate. It really could not have been any other way. Seriously.

I don't mean it was a mistake because we didn't think it through correctly beforehand.
I think it was a mistake once you see how things turned out.
Go Blazers!
