Aw, and here I was, hoping that Bill Hicks's routine about Leno was going to come true, especially about whether his brains would spew out in the shape of the NBC Peacock. I'm no fan of O'Brien in the slightest, but Leno in any situation other than "unemployed and forced to acknowledge publicly that he's about as funny as a hot Clorox enema" is a major reason why I don't bother with television any more.

For whatever reason Jay's 10pm show has sucked big time. Maybe I'm just not tired enough to be that silly before 11.

Conan had some wildly funny bits on Late Night, but I don't think his audience followed him to 11:30. (I didn't.)
That left him trying to please all the 'little old ladies' that liked Leno. They didn't get his schtick and tuned him out by the millions.
Bill McDonald should be happy about Leno going back to 11:30, though.

Damn I miss Hicks. He had a bit about Barbara Bush that...er, 'nuff said.
The Scottish Conan guy -- and Wavy -- may win by default.

I think this story is MUCH more about Leno's ego than Conan's failing. Leno is in BIG trouble at 10.

It's about Jeff Zucker failing.
