Sarah: already there. Conan: not so much.

He'll be there quite soon -- at least if he knows what's good for him: Take less money from NBC and get back on the air quickly.

Saw an interesting article about the Conan situation somewhere today. The gist was Conan's not going to Fox. He'd have to go on at 11 and he'd be competing with Stewart and Colbert. He probably wins, but he splits that demographic and makes two enemies. His deference to Fallon shows he doesn't want to do that. He could go to ABC and bump Kimmel to 12:30, but again...enemy. So what to do, what to do?
The guys got balls and money. I could see him telling everyone to take a hike.

He'll have a show somewhere, at some time. Maybe a new network, or a new format for an existing network.
I think five hours a week of either him or Leno is way more than either of them deserve. Twice a week for an hour each, and one night with both of them together for an hour, would be plenty.

If Conan goes to Fox at 11 p.m. and WINS the demos against Stewart and Colbert, THAT is what counts. I think he could.

Then again, some Fox affiliates are airing an 11 p.m. local news show (including Portland's KPTV),which are doing well, while other Fox affiliates are locked into long-term contracts on syndicated shows. I'd bet that might be holding up any Conan on Fox at 11 scenario.

Palin's presence on Fox will greatly raise the network's overall level of journalistic professionalism.
