Guilty of second DUII, still coaching high school hoops

There's something very wrong at Lincoln High School in Portland. It's little wonder the students over there have substance problems.

Best quote from the PPS article:

“You can talk an issue or problem to death,” says Pete Schulberg, a group leader, Lincoln parent and communications director for Oregon Partnership, a drug abuse awareness organization. “The key idea is to do something, whatever the issue is.”

I was kind of hoping they'd do something BEFORE someone gets hurt.

Guilty as charged, just as I said he would be in the last related post. Being intoxicated and behind the wheel trumps any other real or imagined conspiracy defenses. Sorry, Mr. Houze.

But its basketball, right?

Abe: "Forget it, Jake. It's basketball."

(apologies to Robert Towne)

RANZ, you were right. I just felt that with Steven Houze questioning the officers, their reason for pulling him over would be proven untrue. Illegal lane change my a*s.

10 years ago my son was considering whether to attend Lincoln HS or Cleveland HS. At that time as budgets were in decline many schools were cutting programs and staff. Lincoln HS administration at this time decided to cut its music program in favor of athletics. Cleveland decided to add the IB academic program and retain music. We chose Cleveland. Now Lincoln has a big name basketball coach and a big problem. I am very glad that our son did not attend Lincoln HS. The Lincoln Rich Kid Academy is not serving its students well...

BRAD - Oh don't get me wrong, Mr. Houze's number will still be in my cell phone!

It was on my cell phone, but I lost it somewhere between the Bullpen & Taco Bell.

I don't know if I would want my child playing for this coach. What if he had been driving the bus during road trips while intoxicated? Totally unethical and classless.
