A Christmas sting

If you're headed down SE 17th toward Milwaukie around midday today, you might want to watch out for this activity. Given the crazy drivers out there this week, they'll be busy.

Jack,

This is a pet peeve of mine. Very few drivers know that any intersection, marked or not, is a legal crosswalk and PEDS have the right of way. If you try to cross NE Broadway on 8th ave, there is no signal, but you have the right of way. NO ONE stops for you.

Interesting article on the police and/vs the public in the WA Post this a.m.

It would also be fair if they nailed the jaywalkers also.

I was cited for not yeilding at a crosswalk, one citation for every person waiting to cross. I was allowed though to take a "Share the Road" class and got the fine waived but I had to listen to some little wise a** from the Bike Coalition. I learned though what n/a is talking about what constitutes a cross walk.

I hope they use the citation money to ***mark the *$&% crosswalks***.
