Thanks for this clip, Jack. A classic.
Alas, nothing's changed out there in the "rust belt," "brownfields," "acid rainfields," and "particulate clouds" -- just glossier p.r. and b.s. from the likes of Gov. Ed Rendell et ilk. One reason why an anonymous Senator has put a hold on Obama's (read: Katie McGinty's & Ed Rendell's) nominee for OSMRE Dir. Sen. Wyden has been very actively involved as a member of the Senate Environment & Natural Resources Cmte., but voted him through, unfortunately (perhaps a trade-off for his health care agenda?).

Yes, well, not meaning to detract any from the serious subjects posed by the commenter supra ... my favorite Billy Joel song is And So It Goes. I like Billy best when he's soft and sweet. Sometimes it's nice to get away from the craziness of current events by remembering past loves.
