More fun and games with Coach

Between molesting students and otherwise showing them how to be losers, athletics coaches are really setting some new standards in the Portland area these days.

The police in Portland never make a mistake? It'll be interesting to hear what the witnesses have to say.

I would submit that for every coach that is a scumbag, there's 10+ coaches that keep kids from joining gangs, taking drugs, quitting school, etc.

Those coaches don't make headlines though.

I'd agree that the vast majority of our coaches are incredibly dedicated to their student athletes, and have no trouble living by the words in our updated PPS coaches' handbook:

"The coach must constantly uphold the honor and dignity of the profession. In all personal contact with the student athlete, officials, athletic directors, school administrators, the state high school athletic association, the media and the public, the coach shall strive to set an example of the highest ethical and moral conduct."

Unfortunately, that code of ethics is being put to the test right now.
