Double duty
Just an idea: If the Convention Center hotel gets built in Portland and it turns out to be a flop, it can be converted into a lockup for aggressive panhandlers.

I always did want to run into that sad carpenter from Welches, who only wanted cabfare to get back home, but alas, it wasn't to be.
Why, I could have walked him over to my taxicab and offered him a ride out there, then savored the look on his face as he stammered out lies and backpedaled...
