Still revved up

I almost missed this story about a geezer who's getting it done. Giving "old as dirt" new meaning, he raced at PIR before it was paved!

National news the same day as Watson's pursuit at The Open. Good stuff.

Not to mention that Methuselah, Lance Armstrong, daring to ride in a professional bike stage race at age 73 -- well, that is, 37.

Great story. I was there pulling for him all afternoon on Sunday. I just hope I'm capable of even driving at 81, much less running two miles and 12 turns in just 80 seconds!

One thing tho'...PIR has always been paved, even when it was Vanport. It was Portland Speedway that used to be a dirt track back in the day.
