Leave it to Tacoma

Forever finding new ways to smell bad. On a hot day, you can't beat this.

Do you remember the time that happened in PDX? A rendering truck lost its brakes on 26 downhill of the zoo, bailed out of the freeway onto Market street, blasted through all the lights downtown without mishap, and almost made the corner by the then brand-new RiverPlace onto I-5 before wiping out and spilling its load.

It stank for months.

That compared to a Hot Summer Day on the Oregon Coast soon after a jelly fish die-off. That's a cookie tosser as well.

An overturned rendering truck is always good for a few laughs, but this classic is still my favorite:

One doesn't even have to tip over and spill. Just following one on the freeway is bad enough.

It really is no coincidence that Tacoma rhymes with Aroma.
