Ah, yes. Every time I manage to convince friends from out-of-state that Texas really isn't all that bad (beautiful skies, friendly folks, great food, and autumns that start in September and go on until Christmas), some chicken-sucker like Rick Perry manages to perpetuate the cliches that inspired that article. If there's any good news as far as Perry's concerned, it's that he's going to get beaten like a gong in the next gubernatorial election: he doesn't have George W. and Bush's financiers to hide behind any longer, and his little temper tantrums are starting to infuriate the people who'd like Texas business to leave the Nineteenth Century.
