If Lebron has an off-night, are those not the Cavs? If KG is injured, are those not the Celtics? I see the point that it's not like beating the best team, but what huge back-to-back road wins. Winning 6 of the last 7 down this stretch is simply awesome - as is being 22 games above .500 with four games left. Let's hope they keep it up and seal the deal ... it won't be easy, but a lot of it will be at home:
Fri, Apr 10 LA Lakers 10:00 pm
Sat, Apr 11 at LA Clippers 10:30 pm
Mon, Apr 13 Oklahoma City 10:00 pm
Wed, Apr 15 Denver 10:30 pm
Just a little perspective thats all. The Spurs were playing minus Ginobli, Duncan, and Parker was gimpy at the end. I do not mean to minimize the Blazer victory, just to note the Spurs were probably not quite as challenging without those three. The Cavs without Lebron would indeed not be the same team either.
Genop, I think you're wrong. Spurs were shooting over 80% at one point and had built up an enormous lead. The Blazers showed great strength of character in not giving up and coming back to win. I'm not even a basketball fan and it impressed me.
The Spurs fizzled by the 3rd quarter and pulled Duncan who scored 4 pts. The Blazers youthful exuberance was the diff, but don't posit that the Spurs were hitting on all cylinders. It just aint true.
The Spurs aren't going to get any healthier. What you saw last night is pretty much the playoff Spurs, although Duncan won't have to play again on 0 days' rest. They are old and tired and ready for a first-round exit this year.

Nice, workman like victory, but those weren't the Spurs.

Wow I'm almost terrified to see another Steve Blake fan club member with the same name as me. How about that completely insane half court shot? 2=3
