More than bad timing. I'd wager that $5,000/month rents won't hold up in good times, either. Time will tell.

Anyone else doubt the low commercial vacancy numbers reported in a related article published in the "O"? They claim 10% vacancy; I suspect closer to 15% given the numerous empty storefronts and office buildings I see with vacanct signs.
