Don't talk to strangers

Actually with these and others like them you need to just hang up. Been hearing about how they actually modify their recordings with you how ever they can for this scam. There is some reason they are choosing the $500 amount too to skirt a rule of some sort.

We get several of those calls a week. When they say they want to update our information we say "No you won't" and hang up.

Strangely, we learned about this from the Business Journal instead of a press release from the AG.

I get these phone calls at my business all the time, and a few months ago I noticed that I was being charged $80 extra on my phone bill for a long-distance provider that I didn't know about. I didn't pay the bill, and Qwest removed the charges. Guess I need to report it to the AG too.
