Today's quiz from Portland City Hall
We got a mystery e-mail yesterday afternoon from the City of Portland, alerting us to something really important. The problem with this one is, for a while we couldn't figure out what the heck it was trying to tell us.
The full text of the message was as follows:
And then there was a link to this. Can you guess what it is? (Hint: Click and then look at the URL address.)

I don't get it. Nick Fish's calendar for the fourth quarter of last year. Is he trying to establish an alibi for something?

He's trying to explain why he didn't shovel his sidewalk :)

But what is it telling us, the Fish was really busy.......

Busy, that is, with appointments like this one for 11/4:
MEET: 4:00 PM - 4:30
PM - Greg Goodman, City
Center Parking (Cmmr
Conf Rm)
Couldn't imagine what old Greg would want with a City Commissioner.

Yeah, God forbid one of the city's most prominent businessmen would get face time with an elected official. He runs parking, what do you have against parking?

Correction: He bids, supposedly competitively, for parking contracts on city-owned properties. Would his business competitors have similar access to a commissioner? And would notes from this meeting be available to others? I doubt it.
I'm not sure what bid cycle we're on for these garages, but during certain times of the year, this would be considered an ex parte contact.
