These things take time

Wow, Batum outplayed him a bunch in fewer mintues and Batum is almost a year younger, so I don't know if I am buying the "let Oden age" bit.

Hey - how about using a picture of bowie in a Blazer Uniform (rather then the lakers)

(Love those shorts)

As big a fan as I am of Pryzbilla, I'm not as concerned about Oden's play as I was two weeks ago. He is coming along and looking a lot better out there. The real issue at hand is who gets the minutes at small forward, Batum or Outlaw?

When Trout is on, he can put up a lot of points, but even then, it seems he stagnates the rest of the Blazer offense. He's a real liability on defense, forever wandering away from his man--and his man usually is a three-point threat. Bad ball handling, bad decision making, hardly any rebounding. His =/- figures for most games are the worst on the team.

For a kid, Batum has a lot of court savvy. Even if he doesn't score like he did last night, I'd go with him because he does all the little things that a guy like, say, Bobby Gross did--smart assists, steals and deflections, timely rebounds, hardly any mental errors. Now Batum is going to be better than Gross eventually--he could be in the Tayshawn Prince league in a year or two, if he gets playing time. He got it last night because Trout picked up two quick fouls, but Nate needs to let him play at least 25 to 30 minutes a night, not the 10 to 15 he's been getting.

Outlaw and Webster -- deadwood and deader.
