I heard that--it seemed like a Monday at the office yesterday! This business of holidays messing with my sense of what day of the week it is gets worse as time marches on.

Today is the average of yesterday and tomorrow. Hope that helps.

Look up higher.

The exact day of the week eludes me but I do know the Bush Admin. is powerless in two weeks and three days. Yipee.

It's the 22nd day the kids have been out of school...

No Kidding. I woke up today and thought it was Sunday for a while.

groundhog day!!!! again....
I have cabin fever SO bad! The road to our house is a sheet of ice and snowy ruts. We still have a foot of snow in the yard, and the gray gloom is getting to me.
The leftover Christmas cookies are calling.

"Happy birthday to you...happy...can I get a little help here?"

NFL games today aren't helping with the confusion either

So is anyone else having this problem?
We shipped a package to my parents to Portland on the 15th through UPS; it STILL hasn't made it to my parents' even though it's been in PDX since the 19. They're claiming it's a weather related issue, which I believe to a certain extent. But three weeks?!?!
By contrast, we shipped a package of cookies to Iraq a day or two later and they're already there!
Is anyone else having this issue?

It's seventeen days until George W. Bush becomes history, universally loathed and eternally unforgiven.

Is anyone else having this issue?
Only with UPS. They need to admit that they FAILED this storm. Making excuses when most other carriers did okay just makes them look bad, or worse, less than competent.

Ben: "Birthday to....." help

It's the first day to get back on schedule following the holidays and the storm. It's smooth sailing from here to Memorial Day.
And we're like 11 days into the slow but steady return of the Sun to our hemisphere, for which I am extremely grateful.

It looks to me as if UPS have written off the storm victims rather than let delays roll forward into later deliveries. I ordered goods on Dec. 30; UPS delivered on Jan 2 as advertised.

@ Bill McD: That's both initially funny and deeply philosophical on subsequent reads ... I feel like I should have that on my mirror or something.

Thanks for the kind words, Chris, but let's not forget Janis Joplin's observation that there is no tomorrow: "It's all the same f**ing day."
I also have to mention the theoretical physicist whom I read about while waiting in my dentist's office. He said that time doesn't move at all. It's just an infinite series of "nows." If you can get grant money to sling the BS like that, you are automatically a genius.
Finally, if you want a trippy, high-quality movie about time, go see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Long but thought-provoking.

It's probably International Something Day. If I wasn't so lazy on weekends, I'd look it up.
Whatever it is, enjoy everyone. Work again tomorrow.
