What the deputy was doing in the squad car

He wasn't eating donuts.

I like this tragic sentence:

“There’s no dispute that the activities that occurred, in my opinion, violate several policies,” Detective John Krummenacker said during the investigation.

So, Mr. Krummenacker, is there no dispute that the activities violate policy or is there no dispute that that is your opinion?

(Either way, the cop is a sleazebag who should have been fired if he didn't resign.)

Don't feed the trolls donuts, or beer, in the squad car, at a party, or in jail.

Linn deputy charged with assault, harassment, October 18, 2008.

... Lovik hit another man, older than he, after both of them, drunk, fell or walked off the deck at a mobile home. The harassment charge is based on an allegation that Lovik put his arm around a woman at the party and tried to kiss her, according to the sheriff.

There never seems to be a principled D.A. or Atty.Gen. around when we need one ... someone go look in the squad car ... or Uncle Sam's hip pocket.

What is really sad about this case is that the investigation stopped when he resigned and no charges will be filed because of the resignation. Case closed! That means he'll go get a job with another police department somewhere else.

Somehow, notorious Sandy, Oregon police officer William Bergin was ensnared in this investigation and has also resigned:
