Now she's gone
After a few weeks of silence, O columnist Renee Mitchell signed off yesterday. As was extensively reported last month, including here, she took the newspaper's voluntary buyout offer and packed it in.

I was thrilled to learn we can expect to see her perform and so glad she provided contact information. Next time I need a sub par column, poem, play, or inspirational speech -- or heck -- even a well-meaning manager fired, I'll know exactly who to contact.

The well-meaning manager was responsible for some insulting, Stepenfetchit style caricatures on the business premises.

You could always "friend" her on Facebook.

As I recall, the manager whose firing was caused by Mitchell did not know about the caricature until Mitchell stalked her to create an unsubstantiated and unnecessary scandal for her column. And if you think I don't know racism when I see it, you shouldn't read my call to expel the George Fox students.

It was pretty clear from her farewell column that she suffers no self esteem issues.

Poor Renee.... she's so conflicted. She really wishes she were a product of the ghetto, but she grew up in Newberg.

I just "got" the post title. Snicker.
