Crossing the line
Bill Sizemore's been in trouble before. But now he's in some deep, deep kim chee. Pretty soon it won't be just the teachers' unions who are after him; at some point, guys and gals with badges could start showing up asking questions. If you've been spending a tax-exempt charitable foundation's money on braces for your daughter, Fred Meyer, and the gas station, they're not going to like that answer.

At least he didn't give any of the money to his church, expecting God to make him rich. Like the rest of the Evangelical Christian Politicians in Oregon.

Something tells me that the "foundation" didn't issue him a W-2 or 1099 for all of those expenses either.

Don't tell me tithing doesn't work for politicians. They got elected, didn't they?
Whether it was divine intervention or a pastor who allowed their church directory to be used for political ends is another question...

When Sizemore is gone, who can taxpayers look to? I've never liked him but some of what he's done has been good in my opinion. Our tax system is pretty messed up.
