I personally observed more than one moment of silence in remembrance of all those who gave their lives on 9/11.
Their sacrifice came at the hands of bloodthirsty, evil bastards who chose to make these innocents their victims in a feeble attempt to make a convaluted point about the US and her foreign policy.
May God be with all their families and with the brave men and women fighting across the oceans to prevent this from happening again.
If there is anything positive to pull from the ashes of 9/11, we should all remember the sense of unity and righteous anger we shared on that fateful day. After all, we are Americans first, not Democrats or Republicans.
After all, the terrorists don't care if Obama or McCain take over; they still hate our nation and everything we stand for. We all must keep that in mind when the issues of "fighting terrorism" is used as a political football this election year.
