Devastating.
And he did the whole thing with a smile on his face. That's the key.
SNL will try and top it this weekend. They won't even come close.

If there's one guy you don't want to stand up, it's Dave. He's got a theater full of people queued up; an hour's worth of material built around McCain, written and paid for; and probably little backup for the 40 minutes or so of the interview.
I'm sure McCain's people figured that Dave would send everybody home and play a rerun. Wrong.
Between this and running from the debate, it's a losing gamble for the Hothead. And having Chimpy play along probably did more harm than good.

The devil in a skirt gave Mccain his goal to get Obama off the front pages....(for 4-5 days)....Game over now. After watching this stupid religious fanatic C*** on a few interviews (last night with Couric who threw her under the bus bigtime)....I'm finding all of this better & more interesting than any reality show put on TV. Who could write this stuff????? Again I will say...If McCain gets it ,..the religious right whackos will whack him & get her in there to change the dynamics of the Supreme Court , not to mention getting us into WW3. I'm sure McCain wll accomplish the goal of WW3 anyway....but lets face it who is the lesser of both evils if we have to get this guy elected. PLEASE PUSH YOUNG PEOPLE TO VOTE IN THIS ELECTION. The religious whack jobs will all be voting, we need the YOUTH vote this time around. In the past the young folks talk a game about passion for a Candidate but then forget to vote.

With the ratings Letterman has been getting this year, I don't really think McCain gives a rip about appearing on his show.
