New O website "breaking news" page

It is here. In the right sidebar, the columnists get a better display than they used to get.

The problem now is that there are no fewer than three "front pages" on the O site. Where are we supposed to go first, folks -- here, or here, or here?

I see that all three still look like "The Internets" circa 1998. Good going, Big O.

That's a little harsh! I'd give the O a "Tubes" (quoting the indicted Ted Stevens) dating of about 2002. In 1998, "teh Interwebs" were mostly flashing and scrolling text trying to get your attention.

The vice (vise?) is gripping, at The O.

Apparently failed-politics cartoonist Ohman is near to drawing a pink slip. 'Apparently' because, after ducking out and staying distance for years, today Ohman popped up in-studio with Mr. Rightwing Radio Poison, and the two of them glad-handed and toasted each other's success at establishing fascism as the de facto law of the land now.

For his part, Ohman boasted that he is among the top 5 syndicated cartoonists. Perhaps The O is about to let him go prove he can live on that revenue. Or, just, let him go.

Seeing his place erased in the writing on the wall, Ohman leaps to grasp hold of the windbag talk in the void.

Most likely, there isn't any worry of new cartoon competition in the syndication market, among the established best in This Modern World.
