CBS News Sunday Morning aired a story last Sunday about bike-friendly Portland. It portrayed Portland as a paradise for bicyclists, and included an interview with Sam Adams while riding his bike.
We should probably expect a spike in the number of people moving here who bike for transportation and recreation.

"We should probably expect a spike in the number of people moving here who bike for transportation and recreation."
Hopefully, we shouldn't expect a spike in the number of people moving here who bike for an excuse to commit traffic offenses, vandalism, miscellaneous misdemeanors, and felony assault.
We have enough of that as it is.

If you read about the individual cases I think one thing it shows is that people really should mind their own business and leave traffic enforcement to the police. The Newsweek story did make it sound like Mad Max out here though.
