Jack,
Thanks for your posting! Both Sarah and Coakley are happy and healthy. We're not getting much sleep lately, but are enjoying our new family together.
Here's a photo of Coakley at 19 hours old:

(Can you tell I'm a proud papa?)
I hope all is well!

Al,
Coakley is my wife's maiden name. I wanted to make sure we kept her name in the family somehow. Hopefully she won't be teased too much!

Charles,
Lots of parents do that, and I think most parents would have opted for Anna Coakley Lewis. Or if you're Latin American or Spanish, Anna Lewis Coakley.
Congratulations on the new arrival.

Good job proud dad!
I voted for you in the primary and I'm sure you will make as good a dad as you will city councilman! Sadly I do agree with al. Middle name is always better for a wifes maiden name. Its hard for a kid when their name is unisex.
Ask me, I should know.
