Time to build the solar and wind powered green house in the back yard. Lemons, limes, bannas, gardenias, and orchids, along with lettuce and tomatoes, all just out the back door. No fungus among us either.

Very informative. Historically and futuristic, what more could one want from a post.
I now know that the Cavendish banana that I find so tasty is not tasty and I should explore for different varieties.

Interesting and thought-provoking.
I am not particularly fond of bananas; my mother attributes it to the fact that she accidently fed me some spoiling mashed banana when I was a baby.
