Whoopeeeeeeyawn
Gosh, the western half of pro basketball has come down to the Lakers against the Spurs. That presents quite a fan's dilemma: Which of these tiresome teams do I dislike less?

My vote is the Spurs. I can't stomach watching Kobe get the white glove treatment from the refs for any longer.

I think I'm done watching the NBA this year. Maybe if the Lakers and Celtics play in the Finals, I can get back into it. But I have a feeling we're headed for a Spurs/Pistons final, and I can't stomache watching that.

i'll stick with my prediction: Boston-San Antonio, with San Antonio in 7.
this is how the Spurs/Lakers game 1 will go--Lakers get lots of foul calls, winning by 6.
Laker opponents in the playoffs got an average of 40% more fouls than the Lakers. this phenomenon has happened in each playoff game where the Lakers win.
where the playoff fouls are called roughly even, Lakers lose 91% of the time.

er, 24% more fouls, that is.

It's worth it to see Big Red's son, Luke Walton. He's got incredible fundamental skills. Maybe the best off-the-bench player in the game.

well, as expected.
Laker win by 4.
Laker fouls: 16
Spurs fouls: 21
Laker foul differential: -23%
and, the Laker's differential is unprecedented in known playoff history.
