Given the fact a number of former residents of Oregon have been sucessfully tried for crimes related to Islamic terrorism, and that foriegn terror elements have attempted setting up a terror training camp in Bly, OR, stepping up survelliance seems appropriate.
These aren't wannabe's, particularly with Bly case. They are real. The threat is real.
Anyone remember the idiot that tried sneaking into the country with bomb making materials to blow up the Space Needle?
The press indicated it was "an alert customs agent" that was responsible for the arrest. I personally think that was misinformation designed to cover the fact his plot was dicovered by wiretaps. Thank Christ he got caught.
As they say: "The Constitution isn't a sucide pact."

"Phobias" are irrational fears. If your every word is being recorded, it's not a phobia. It's reality.
Brings to mind the old maxim: You may be paranoid, but that doesn't mean they aren't watching you.
