Wow! I had no idea your technical abilities were so sophisticated!
My "doppels" coach NCAA Div III football (or whatever the equivalent is these days) in Ohio, run a public radio station in California, compose and perform music in Iowa and elsewhere, sell real estate in New Jersey, and attend college in Washington, DC. A bunch of over-achievers I'd say. They make me tired just reading about what they're up to!

Google has some interesting googlegangers for me.
Links include an attorney (like me), a rock climber (also like me), a football player (definitely not me), a sprinter (not me), a painter (not me), a Ron Paul supporter (not even close), a SQL programmer (nope), a musician and twin (double no) and a gamer (like me).

I have a few, mostly young men (I think). But if you google my name, on the first page of results, 4 of them are verifiably me (that is, links to things I wrote).

With a last name like Johnson, there are bound to be a lot of Googlegangers, even though first name (Gil or Gilbert) is strange.
Biggest name is a trumpet player out of Philadelphia who died a few years ago. There also is a TV/movie actor who I've never seen, at least that I know of. And a pro football player from the early era.
Way down the Google list is the Gil Johnson who wrote the introduction to Bruce Lee's "Tao of Jeet Kune Do." Since I teach martial arts, and am old enough to have been an adult when that book came out, I get asked about that from time to time. Suppose I should say, "Yeah, Bruce and me were best buds," but I don't.

My googlegangers include a professor at U of Washington, a former writer for the Boston Globe, and most importantly, a character in the Spider Man comic book series. How cool is that.

Wow, I have two interesting ones. First, if you use my short name, "Jon", is a real estate broker in Beverly Hills! The second is an actor.
But if you use my full name, "Jonathan", the first is a dancer in the Royal Ballet.
Wow.

oops, should have been "three"...

ok, guess it was two after all. a bit more investigation shows the real estate broker and the actor are the same guy...weird.

Yeah, someone netted a many-me once -- who knew? -- and he's famous! And, alas, deceased. Yet he left our name on a building, denoting his good works, and I plan to get there ... someday.

Glad to see that there is finally a name for discovering yourself. My 'twin' is a college professor in Kentucky. I have been sending him Christmas cards with photos of my family for 5 or 6 years now. He sends nice chatty emails back. I have another 'twin' who actually is a woman (strange feeling) who runs a sausage shop in Little Rock with her dad. She gets a card, too.
Cheers!
