Reader poll: Will Sho keep going?
It's the Question of the Year (So Far) in Portland politics. We're supposed to have an answer at 11 this morning, but in the meantime, you make the call:

I sure hope so. I feel really 'odd' throwing so much support behind someone I don't really know a whole lot about, issue-wise, but at this point I feel that just about anyone is better than Adams and that Sho has the best chances of beating him.

Only if he can underwrite an effective campaign and so far his staunchest supporters don't seem to have any money.

If Sho announces he will not continue to run, can we start an "Anyone but Sam" campaign to force Sam into a runoff against...anyone?

Sho is rich, so I don't feel bad that he didn't get the city's freebies. The fact that he is "debating" staying in or not, demonstrates that he would be a poor mayor.

I disagree completely with that. The situation changed and he took a few days to ponder it. That's a better way to make decisions than to answer right away.

I don't look at it that way. He knew that the funding was at risk, until it was approved. He knew there was a challenge, which put it at risk. He had plenty of time to make a decision and chose to pause, "let me think about it". I think it's weak.

Taking a few days to make a decision that will profoundly affect yourself, family, and many others for four or more years is a short time. I don't judge people too much on how they make decisions, we all do it differently-thank God.

Mike C: Anytime an employee, contractor, or subcontractor ever said "Well, they're rich, I'll bid, charge, (whatever), a little more", I would fire them or never use them again. What does one's wealth have to do with treating someone equally?
