Knowing how to win
The Houston Rockets pro basketball team has gone nuts. They just won their 21st game in a row. That's the second-longest winning streak in the history of the league.
It's going to end sooner or later -- probably sooner, as their schedule hits a really rough patch starting now. The Rockets recently lost their key big man, Yao Ming, to a foot problem. Their success has come on the back of their other star, Tracy McGrady, who is injury-prone and tends to fail in the playoffs. But it's still an amazing run.
Their coach? A familiar face. I hear tell he's still got a little shack up in Funthorpe. I sat in the booth behind him in McCormick's once, back in the day. Seems like a nice fella.

Rick Adelman has to be the most underated coach on professional basketball. He's won everywhere he's coached (with the exception of two years with a miserable Golden State team). In 15 full seasons, he has averaged 48 wins. Players love to play for him and he's proven you don't have to be an arrogant egomaniac (see Jackson, Phil) to be successful.
