You picked a fine time to leave me, Darlene

We never saw this coming.

Darlene is a gem, and a representative we could be proud of as Oregonians. I wish her well but she will be missed as one of our finest congressional delegates.

I despise her opponent..Erickson???? But Darlene has been at the trough way too long. She was a dimmo that was way too obliging to the corporate..kinda like Blumie.

"Dimmo"? You can do better than that.

Would she announce her resignation with such little time until the election and not have someone from her party in mind for her seat?

Like most politicians there were things I liked about her and a bunch of things I didn't like about her. She was better than some and worse than others. I'd like to see a change, but I'm a bit scared of what whacko lefty will get in there next. She was left but right of whacko.

Well, a large part of her district *is* Clackamas County, which is not as conservative as rural Oregon, but more so than Multnomah or Washington counties.

Good riddance! I look forward to working for the conservative running to fill her seat.

Here is one example of the impact (or lack thereof) that Ms. Hooley has had on non-Oregonians. (See the first paragraph.)

Has Opie moved into Darlene's district yet?

Too bad she didn't earlier alert Mr. Merkley to her departure. He could've moved to Clackamas County and been a shoo-in. But, not to worry about losing her vote Mr. Bogdanski, the district will elect another D.

Richard/s & RickN,

What a contest that would be!

Opie versus Gomer.
