Who needs MetroFi?
It looks like free wi-fi is coming to Starbucks -- and it will actually work.
Can we reassign Logan Kleier to a real job now?

That's just swell, but in the long run we're going to need a signal that doesn't require ducking into a coffee shop and buying a venti drip. You don't have to do that to tune in Lars, and it shouldn't be necessary to boot up your iPod touch, either.

Laying off Kleier would pay for refurbishing my street that is over 120 years old and hasn't even seen an oil topping over the macadamizing for over 15 years. With no maintenance of any kind, it is a lane of potholes. Thanks Sam.

Maybe a retasking to the imminent threat of Global Cooling?

It's not going to happen. So many things that "should" be free -- water, power, etc. -- simply aren't.
Wait 'til they start charging for air.

Re-assign, maybe - Layoff, never.
When has CoP ever cut workforce. Remember this is the city proud that it has a many employees per capita as it did 20 yrs ago = 0 efficiency gains.

Time to start shorting Starbucks. The founder announced they will no longer report same store sales and they are reaching out with this gambit to have customers use their Bucks card once a month for "free: wifi! I go to Peet's now where you get your 10th drink free and the tip jar goes to the Sunshine Division.

Starbucks is still behind the curve with its stupid card. You can get good wifi at any independent coffee house in town (and frequently outside it as well) and for nothing more than a small, buck and a quarter cup of joe.

Where have you been?

Can we reassign Logan Kleier to a real job now?
No. Nor can we "reassign" any of the morons who dreamt up this incestuous little scam and hired him.

Starbucks' new system definitely sounds better than Metro-Fi. Their "service" has gotten even worse in recent months.
