A large, bright, unfamiliar yellow ball has appeared in the skies to the east of Portland this morning.

This phenomenon has just made its appearance on the West Side as well. It seems to be describing some kind of orbit.

Yet when I reported a burning fireball from space everyone thought I was on drugs.
Thanks again to the one woman who saw it too and wrote your blog. One of the highlights of the year.
As for the people I talked to right afterwards saying, "You'll see this on your 11 o'clock news for sure" - it was just another case of the media letting us down.
