But Jack?....can we be green and sustainable and say "Christmas" at the same time? In these h'yar parts, it's "Holiday" in place of Christmas, isn't it? We wanna be the mostest correctest we can be, huh?
Merry Christmas under a Christmas tree on Union Avenue at Portland Boulevard....one and all!
If you work for Multnomah County you can celebrate in officially prescribed ways, running to many paragraphs in memos sent out to all employees... it's good to know that snow women are allowed...
"Celebratory Displays or Expressions. Religious displays or symbols that create an appearance of County endorsement of a religion cannot be displayed or expressed. Secular symbols, such as lights, trees, snowmen/women, or reindeer, are allowed. Exhibits that highlight all known diverse religious celebrations, that don’t seem to promote a religion or religions, may be displayed"
Wouldn't it be more "green" to use the dishes you already have in your cupboard rather than buying a bunch of cardboard that then you would have to spend energy recycling again. Seems like a bit of a waste to me...

Now, now. I'm planning to celebrate Kwanzaa with Dan Saltzman up on SW Malcolm X Drive (formerly Council Crest Drive).
