Bad timing

Just as the Davis Cup tennis finals come to Portland, a potentially serious match-fixing scandal erupts.

See how incompetent Portland is. THey get the Davis Cup, but only after it is tainted. Just like them. A day late and a dollar short.

Media report contains attempts to conspire to rig matches by russian mobsters. To the extent it resulted in such conspiracy by a player, WTA should ban all betting by members. I think the Cup players will be on their most competitive and best behavior.
