Can you think of anyone else who has released such amazing and relevant albums in five different decades? Me either.
My faves, by decade:
'60s: Bookends
'70s: Bridge over Troubled Water (by an eyelash over Rhymin' Simon)
'80s: Graceland, but One-Trick Pony and Hearts and Bones are too often overlooked
'90s: Rhythm of the Saints
'00s: Surprise (I think it's his second-best album!)
There's no doubt in my mind that he could release another great one in a sixth decade, too...

And Edie Brickell is what -- 39ish? What has she done lately?
