Other than totally misrepresenting it, it has nothing to do with the surge. And my dollars are down bigtime for the bet that neither you not he ever wore the uniform of your country and never spent a nanosecond in combat defending it.

Ah, Zeb, the dragger of the red herring. This article didn't have one single thing to do with the conduct of the war, the conduct of the soldiers or even the nature of military service.
The point of this article was the deterioration of logical thought when caught up in events that have spun out of control. It was a beautiful illustration of what this country went through getting to this mess. President must dumbass must have missed this econ class there at Yale.

This is one of the best uses of analogy I have seen.
ZQ: The shame of Iraq is that American kids are fighting and dying over there, and Bush has never been able to babble out a coherent reason for that.
