We gotta fight the powers that be

Don't forget to drop by Congressman Blumenauer's office over by Lloyd Center from noon to 2 today for the weekly pro-impeachment picketing. Let him know that we're not going to let him go all Brian Baird on us.

We can't change him, and he knows that.

We can erase and replace him. He doesn't know that.

Yet.

Exactly what good will impeachment of the two dirtbags do? The only thing scarier than HRC as president is Nancy Pelosi as president...

"Exactly what good will impeachment of the two dirtbags do?"

It would reaffirm that the Constitution and the rule of law apply to everyone in this country. And the way succession works, I believe Nancy Pelosi would not become president unless the existing president and vice president were to vacate those jobs at the exact same instant.

Well, yeah. People are ranting about impeaching them and getting them out of office. Therefore, the speaker is next in line.

The vice president is always next in line. If Bush or Cheney are impeached, one of them will be president and name a new vice president. The speaker of the house could never become president following impeachment unless whoever was then the president named the speaker as the new vice president.
