Well according to the article police testified that the exterior of the house where the officers were standing was well lit and the offficers wore clothing clearly identifying them as the police. They also claimed to have shouted out "police". None the less the victim approached the front door and pointed a gun at the officers.
If that is all true thne this is a righteous shooting by the police. If that is all true.

The lesson is, don't clean your gun with the curtains open.

Do these SWAT types get tested for steroids?

The police do a difficult and dangerous job. They bring a truly heroic measure of risk to themselves every day in order to protect the peace and property of our civilized society. I really believe that. I am also determined to avoid ever talking to a law enforcement officer about anything for any reason for the rest of my life. I don't even want to be around off-duty officers. Ever. And that means absolutely no strip clubs, but hey, that's a small, small price to pay.

Ace has a really good point. I was recently at a National Night Out event and there were a group of PPB officers who are on the SERT team and they were huge and just looked like steroid users imo. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed ASAP.
