I was never too into stargazing till I took a astronomy class at Mt. Hood last spring..
Now I'm hooked! I will be at the observatory at Clackamas Community College

We're on this ball that's spinning around; it in turn is orbiting a star; and we have a satellite that orbits us. Events like this make it very visual. Always blows my mind.

I was out this morning for a run at about 4:45 and saw the eclipse from about half obscured until the end. Quite a sight. The huge reddish moon hanging low over the coast range as I finished my run was impressive as well.
