To quell the controversy, the video says, the city will add metal collars and chains to the posts. Imagine the attention they'll get with this addition!
I would seem Keizer is not as "open" in their thinking as Portland. I was walking around Waterfront park at the Blues Festival last night and what do you know, the very same uh... barriers were right there.
It has been said that perhaps decorative vinyl covers might be an appropriate solution.
The need in Keizer is to protect the walkers from the many Undocumented Drivers with using visuals they identify as threatening to their unique status in life.
I haven't seen what it looks like with 52 of them all around in an area, but come on these are used all over the place, and just now someone complains? How many comlaints does it take to make them waste $20,000 and pull them out?

Looks aside, the article said there are 52 of them in one intersection? Are they playing large-scale "bumper pool" in the streets of Keizer now?

My son said he wanted to hang a sign on it that says 'always use protection,' she said.

I hear the ligthouses on the coast are soon to be painted pink with red tops for better visability from offshore.
