If the alleged prostitute is African American, then the "nappy headed" reference is surely offensive. If she is white, then the title of the post is merely a topical reference to hot water slang.
That said, the reader may infer whatever they want: the author is quoting Don Imus.
If she was (in fact) selling sex for money, the "ho" part is an accurate description. Surely not a nice word, but that doesn't make the writer a racist by simple use of the slang description.
Either way, Bojack didn't hire her, pimp her, or kill her. Any animosity should be directed at those who did, rather than Bojack.
I was thrown for a second on Bojack’s “Nappy-headed, dead ho” comment on the news, (but thanks to his permission to allow readers comments) I realized he was making a (more in-depth) comment on national news. Thanks to “Mister Tee” I now understand, and also admit (to some embarrassment)that I didn’t think deeper then some average troll, that this is a forum for people that think deeper then “Do you want fries with that?”
Am I sucking up to Bo Jay?
No, I sent him that tip!
His observation /reaction / second opinion, is what makes the world go round. Now a “reporter” second guesses his story, a better “story” and reporting of the news follows.
We all now understand that this is a sad thing and not just pop journalism. What can we do to make this better? I stay tuned.

No need for the defense, folks. All I know is what I read in the story. I don't know the woman's race, nor the degree of nappiness her hair may have had -- I was just repeating what the story identified as her profession. It's tragic, but according to the story, she was a whore.
It is certainly an unusual story, and her customer should have his head examined on several accounts, which I guess was what made it remarkable to me.

Reminds me of one of the darkest comedies of all time,
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0124198/
Very Bad Things, which featured A-list performances by Christian Slater (who played the ensemble's Id) and Jeremy Piven (the bachelor buddy Superego).

The person who wrote the story is now apologizing for it.

I don't understand why "nappy-headed...ho" is an appropriate title for this post. About as funny as when Imus used it.
